Hi All We are a Library and currently have ~ 50 SunRay 1G's attached to a couple of M3000's. They deliver a web site that allows users to find Books in our Library and also access Electronic Resources from our data suppliers.
The sunrays all run Kiosk mode and fire up the (now rather old) mozdevgroup Kiosk with a very old version of Firefox, all Native in Solaris. They also have Adobe reader, Adobe Flash, UBDrived (so ppl can save stuff to usb sticks) and a couple of other oddments available. I have been tasked with visiting our Entire "Catalogue Terminal" Provisioning. The current OpenKiosk provision from Mozdevgroup solution will not build on Solaris. If it will then please tell me how :) The Kiosk Plugins I have tried fail to work in Solaris. We have a nice VDI Solution, which uses PCOIP. Great if you have PCOIP Devices, not good for SunRays. Do any SunRays support PCOIP ? So my question is, how are others currently delivering web kiosk machines ? I'd prefer to keep with the native Solaris, Keeping it as simple as possible.
