We replaced our Sun Ray lab with WYSE (now Dell) terminals. We got the
D50D model with embedded Suse linux. They sell a management application,
but it's not necessary. All you need is a DHCP server and a web server.
Configuration and patching is done with plain text files served out from
the web server. I had considered thinlinc, but Wyse was less expensive
(no ongoing licensing cost unless you buy the optional software), uses a
much simpler system, and has far less overhead.

On the other hand, I have a mix of 2FS and 3plus DTUs (42 or so total)
that are looking for a new home (for a reasonable price). Otherwise,
they're getting recycled.

Loved my Sun Rays, but have moved on.
