It would be much more practical to get it running on EL6 rather than Ubuntu. I'm not sure anybody has done a port of SRS to Ubuntu. Ubuntu uses the LightDM Display Manager, which does not provide the multiseat functionality that Sun Ray relies upon in GDM.
Has anybody gotten Sun Ray to work on Fedora 20? That shouldn't be so different from EL6, and should provide a (somewhat) more modern desktop experience. -Hammett On Fri, Sep 26, 2014 at 3:51 AM, Marx Lups <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello > > I have been using Solaris 10 on Sun Fire X2200 and Sunray 270 hardware > for sometime but have come to a point where I would like to migrate to > Ubuntu using the same hardware, can anybody help on how to go about the > whole process? > > Regards > > _______________________________________________ > SunRay-Users mailing list > [email protected] > http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users > > -- Disclaimer: These are my opinions.
