Hey gang, my last message was sent on my behalf by my friend in Texas, I
was raving so much about the record that I HAD to tell you all as soon
as I got it, unfortunately, the Internet Club I use was closed so I got
on the blower (phone) to my pal and he accessed my email and I dictated
to him what I wanted to say... if that's not dedication...hahaha :p
Anyways, I have listened to it in full now... what the Trouser
Enthusiasts have done is use the original mix that was on the .... oh
shit I can't remember that dance CD it first appeared on... damn! Oh
well, you should know what I mean :) Basically its that vocal mix
WITHOUT the slow, trippy opening... it just starts straight off into the
mix! The vocals from the middle "I don't know and I can't tell..." (I
THINK that's what it says...oops) are used just near the end and is
basically the same as that CD version. All in all, the new TE mix is a
different edit.
Now..the DUB mix is well cool!! :):)
It's a stripped-down version of the remix, as are all dub mixes really,
BUT it has these GREAT ambient sounding piano cords over the top at
certain parts and other weird sounscapes thrown in... it kinda reminds
me of BT... that sort of style... Its MAD!
One other thing I noticed is the fact that the labels are stuck on the
wrong sides... the track listings are on the same side, TE Remix stating
its the "Other Side"... you get my drift! :) Sorry, I have confused
myself now....haha....anyway when you play the Other Side to get the
vocal remix... its actually the DUB mix! Makes it even more collectable
methinks, dunno if all the promos are the same.
Oh, and there IS a catalogue number etched in the grooves near the
label, it's RED 001.
With regards to me grabbing copies for people.... I really, honestly
can't promise ANYONE one as I really don't know how many copies HMV have
left and if they are selling fast etc... BUT of COURSE I would pick them
up if they are there, I think this is SUCH a cool Sunscreem (or
Infra-Red!!) thing to have!
The price is 6 in HMV but for overseas people, I will have to ask 9 or
10 for postage etc... hope thats okay, I'm not out to screw people for
cash, I would pay the postage for you guys but I am kinda broke at the
moment :(
What I shall do on Saturday, or maybe Tomorrow but its Easter and HMV
may not be open then, but I will find out how many they have left and
let you all know at the weekend, I MAY be able to reserve them for you
guys :)
I will also phone around London's dance stores to see if they have them
in.
Okay, all we need now is Who Will Love Me Now ...teehee... Adam, do ya
know anything yet???? :p
(Hope you're having a cool time in the Big Apple man!!!!) ...says Geoff
in a jealous tone.... haha
Anyway....damn, I have written a LOT! Oops, sorry... I'll go now, keep
on Screemin' or exposing yourself to the Infra-Red :p
Geoff in Little ole London
PS - That compilation CD Cover Me appeared on originally, was called
"Dance Supports-Monserrat"
Or something like that, it was for a dance magazine here in the UK. Just
thought of it...
