Well I don't know about the US but in the UK it's alive and kicking, going under the 
rather dubious title of "happy hardcore". I have to say I hanker after the old days 
too...such classics as Bizarre Inc's "Playing With Knives" (rereleased last month pop 
pickers), anything by Altern8, Praga Khan etc etc. One thing I have noticed is that a 
lot of the dj's from the breakbeat days have now gone on to jungle - witness 
Grooverider, Fabio, space monkey etc etc. Traitors!

And about your fashion comments...I have recently witnessed a worrying trned in London 
techno clubs - the re-emergance of the white gloves & glo-stick brigade. Complete with 
sunhats and whistles. I'll take the music but you can keep the clothes....
