I'm sure the fans of Terry Pratchett & Douglas Adams will forgive you just this
once. I'm not entirely sure if the Bible readers consider themselves as fans
though ? Were you bored or something ?

[ First off, apologies for what you are about to read. The results of a
deranged and over stressed mind...Also my sympathy to any fans of Terry
Pratchett, Douglas Adams, the Bible, or indeed anything else which I have
ripped apart in writing this. ]

Change or Die contains two tracks - Exodus (1) and No Angel (8). Although
similar sounding in some ways, they have different lyrics. How did this
happen? Read on dear friend, for all shall be revealed......

It was a misty, dark evening in deepest Essex. It was before the reign of
the evil Sony, a time of magic. In a small building, far from the city,
wizards were at work, toiling long into the night. And from their furnace a
spell was cast, it was known as "Exodus", and it was a powerful tome. It
contained two parts, which shall hereafter be known as "parte the first"
and "parte the second". Exodus was a fine spell, and the very closest of
their followers (who had been blessed with experiencing the spell) were
impressed.

But the wizards were not content...as they were worried that their creation
was lacking a certain magical element. So they called in a high priest
known only as Valentine the Shiner. He was a believer, and took the spell
and produced a version of his own, known as "Annadin". This was distinctive
as it contained only parte the first from the original spell, parte the
second was discarded into the abyss. The wizards were overjoyed with his
creation and they cast it forth unto their disciples, who listened unto it
and declared that it was good. Much rejoicing covered the land.

Alas the paper upon which the Annadin spell was written was weak, and so
the spell merchants were unwilling to send it to far off lands. For the
power of the spell to be fully realised across the world, the wizards
realised they would need a more powerful force. And so they turned to the
dark side.....

With offers of riches and rewards, the wizards were once more set to work
on their spell. This time they started with the Annadin spell and worked to
make it even more magical, and in this they succeeded. The new spell was a
magnificent work, capable of defeating all who would stand in it's way.
They christened it "Exodus" too, as it was based on the Annadin version of
the original spell of that name, and only a select few knew of it's past
life. It was with this name that it was cast forth unto the masses, and lo
it did become one of the more popular spells in the land, if only for a
short while.

It came time for the Wizards to compile a collection of spells, that
followers and disciples might more easily learn of the magic. Of course the
Exodus spell was there, together with the "Cheng Cheng" spell (for faulty
doorbells), the "Ice Screems" spell (for calling the god of lyrical
confusion) and the "Be of Good Heart" spell (an early, mystical, version of
the exercise machine).

But one of the wizards, a female by the name of The Great and Wise Loo of
Cheea, was worried that something was missing. She knew of the power of the
very first "Exodus" spell, and although the new incarnation was beyond
reproach, she was concerned that the loss of parte the second was a
mistake, that it too had something to give. For this reason she re-wove the
shreds of that early spell and created the "No Angel" rite....this was also
included in "Ye Olde Booke of Spells, volume the second".

Many people in the land could feel the link between the two spells, as if
they had once been brother and sister, torn asunder at some early age. But
it seemed that their true origin would forever remain shrouded in mystery.

And so the story was thought to have ended. Until now, when a coven known
as Whirling have rediscovered the lost parte the second, in it's guise as
"No Angel". They have seen it's power, and as well as giving it to other
wizards to translate into new languages, they have also ensured that the
word is spread far and wide.

So now you know, dear reader, the true story of the spell of Exodus. The
part played by the great Valentine the Shiner, and the way in which the
true magic refused to die. If you learn only one thing from this tale, let
it be the word.

The word.....is Sunscreem.
