Pity they didn't call the single Kiss (Where The Sun Don't Shine) for a
laugh though.
Top marks to Positiva for a brilliant year - they pretty much trounced
Manifesto this year I'd say, and despite the huge commercial crossover of
the Vengaboys retained their credibility. Positiva sold well over 3 million
singles during 1999, helped along by Vengaboys' 2 #1s and 3 other Top 5
hits....the only disappointment being "Just Round" by A Very Good Friend Of
Mine featuring Joy failing to make the Top 40 despite their hopes of it
becoming Positiva's first ever number 1 single.
And Adam, you were right about Veracocha's Carte Blanche, it was out in May
of this year.
