Happy New Millennium everyone!! We all survived the Y2K, the world did NOT blow up, we didn't loose power, electricity, gas etc etc.... Wasn't the celebrations all over the world FANTASTIC!! Here in London, it was amazing and I have never ever experienced anything like it in my life. As I live just five minutes walk from the River Thames, I managed to witness the full effects of the 20 minute firework display from home, it totally blew me away! :-) There were loads of people standing on rooftops, waving to each other during the fireworks, streams of people all over the place all cheering, the Millennium Wheel (London Eye) looked great all lit up, and the sky turned green, red and blue, then almost daylight! Amazing evening, one I will not forget! I also thought that Sydney, New York and Paris had GREAT firework displays, did you all see how the Effiel Tower "exploded", looked like something off Independence Day! :-) New York with all the confetti was just incredible.... What a way to start a new century with everyone all in great spirits and joining together, instead of misery, grief and war.... let's hope it stays this way! Everyone, write to the list and tell us all what your experience was like during this one-off celebration!! :-) - Geoff ===== ============================================== A thought.... "Why oh why is the Millennium Dome so ugly.... it looks just like a huge boobie" __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Talk to your friends online with Yahoo!
