Hi Everyone,
New to the list here and looking forward to all the exchange about Sunscreem.
I have the Winter Party 98 CD as well. For the most part, it is a good CD
but like Mike (whiteskiesmjs), I was disappointed. I don't think WWLMN
belonged where Julian Marsh put it. It didn't work. It was also the first
time I heard WWLMN and it didn't do anything for me. That's just my personal
preference just like I have never really liked Secrets either. My good
friend, who is DJ/Club Owner, has a remix of WWLMN which I like better but I
don't know which one it is.
One other thing I would like to comment on is the use of the word remix. In
referring to Winter Party 98, this is not a "remix" but a DJ mixing songs
together. As Mike pointed out, the version of WWLMN on Winter Party 98 is
from New Dark Times. If it's available on NDT, it's not a remix on WP98.
It's the same version. A remix is another version that is produced and
released which sounds different from other versions. There are many dance
mix albums which have the same versions of songs we are all familiar with.
They are not remixes but simply a compilation of songs a DJ has mixed
together. Anyone can do that, including me, with the proper equipment and
skill.
On another topic, I just have to say I love the Jimmy Gomez remix of Perfect
Motion on Looking At You The Club Anthems. It's mainly the reason why I had
to have the CD. Much better than the version on O3 in my opinion.
Happy listening from another Sunscreem fan!
Matt
