Virgin (Oxford Street or Picadilly) and HMV (Oxford Street) are both very good for CDs
and pretty good for (mainstream) vinyl. However, if you are looking for more
specialist vinyl stores check out Soho for a handful of d'n'b and garage/house places,
or my fave place - Vinyl Addiction in Camden for plenty of quality prog house/trance.
Be warned - music is a lot more expensive here than the US.

Club wise, Heaven is fun (although I tend only to go for Bedrock which is only on one
thursday a month). Depends on your leaning music wise of course...all the "super
clubs" are pretty fun, I have listed some below.

Home (www.homecorp.com) - Fridays house/garagish, Saturday commercial trance/house
with a certain mr.Oakenfold resident.

Fabric - very mixed lineups, check timeout for details - really stylish venue. Sasha
is around quite frequently.

Ministry (www.ministryofsound.com) - Fridays house/trance - check listings, Saturdays
NY/Chicago house & garage.

Freedom (www.freedom-nightclub.co.uk) - Saturday only - 3 rooms with hard
trance/techno in one, uk garage in another and special guests (including
Positiva/Additive records once a month) usually going towards more commercial/euphoric
trance in the third. Hands in the air ;-)

Then there's stuff like Return to Samsara @ The Fridge in brixton on a friday,
Renaissance @ The Cross (irregular) and a whole load more stuff. You can check some
highlights at www.timeout.com. And if you are around this thursday when bedrock is in
town - give me a call and you can tag along for the ride (www.bedrock.org.uk).

Screeming all the way to the club...

Adam.
