Because I was too lazy to find the remote a couple of nights ago I ended
up watching a bit of "Ibiza Uncovered" on Sky One, and they had a Judge
Jules feature. One of the things they showed was his wife doing a PA
singing along to the track through a microphone in an Ibiza club. It was
over the vocal version of the track, so you could hear both her and the
recorded vocal. And to cut a long story short, she sounded _awful_. She
was _completely_ out of tune, surprisingly out of time, looked quite
poor too, and you could see people looking at her as if they were
thinking "is that really the sexy girl with the great voice on the
video?" A _lot_ of production gone into her voice by the sound of it...
I was even wondering whether it's a Milli Vanilli-type scenario where
Judge Jules has paid a session singer to do the actual singing and
gotten his wife to do all the promotion.
Judge Jules in an interview described himself and his wife as "the Posh
and Becks of clubbing". Which suddenly made a lot of sense to me,
because I find Beckham and Posh Spice incredibly annoying too.
