Hi Pete,
I picked a clean S900 from Henry 5 hours ago as I'm on the other side 
of the bay from Union City. They are in a business complex (their 
hours are10-5 PM PDT). I was welcomed in and I asked for Henry.  He 
came out and greeted me and told me to wait while he gives the 
machine a last check. The waiting area functioned also as an assembly 
area of PC's, putting labels on PC floppy disk drives, storage area 
for PC boxes and the 2 people there were friendly but I didn't want 
to interfere with their labors with busybody talk about the curious 
working conditions. I was satisfied enough to have a place to sit 
while I waited and wondered about it all. Then Henry came out. A 
young man in his 20's Henry was friendly and apologized for the wait 
and invited me into another larger room see the test results. This 
area had PC's and Umax's in and out of boxes. He showed me the 
machine and it was really clean so we both guess that maybe this lot 
was made just before and after Job's cut off the competition.  The 
test results were all OK and to my surprise the S900 had a 4 GB HD 
and Henry included a Umax keyboard and power card but no mouse. I 
paid $ 178 with tax. He has 3 price levels (I think somebody posted 
that here). Henry said that the lot that Shawn had mentioned was all 
sold. But he said anyone interested should email 
([EMAIL PROTECTED]) him he said, as he pointed to an area 
about 10 x 15 ft. piled with PC boxes about 7 ft high (I'm 6'4") and 
said, "I probably have more in that stock."  The S900 for me was my 
first choice in '97 but I bought the C500 as it was much cheaper and 
would cover my meager needs then. It would be a quantum leap for me 
going from my Mac IIsi and my little used Commodore Amiga 2000 to a 
603e machine. I also figured a C500 instead of a S900 would be less 
likely to invoke the "What about the Amiga?" script from my better 
half (who is computer literate from1976 so that helps I think)... 
Anyway she accepted the S900 now as long as she gets a  Mac PowerBook 
for her birthday. Well, that event falls during the week Macworld and 
Jobs hold forth in San Francisco so who knows what Jobs will show 
then so my fellow attendee might change her mind by then. But I 
digress. Yes dealing with Henry was a real pleasure and I'm sure he 
can get you a good deal.
