I would think the CoolPix series Nikons would be robust enough to handle
repeated removal and insertion of cards. But perhaps not at the abusive level
of newspaper usage.
Good point. Anyway, just wanted to add my 2-cents worth.
And I am not sure how fast downloading would be via the USB connection.
We were issued two DCS-520 camera bodies and lenses to go with them.
Two flashes, and bunch of other stuff. By the time they were done it cost close
to $40,000 for each photog. (There were two of us who got to be the guinea
pigs.)
The cameras were around $14,000 each - a year later, better ones were less then
half.
