I just installed an VST UltraTek/66 IDE card in my s900. It's hosting a
Western Digital 60G 5400 rpm IDE drive (model no. WD600AB-32BV) and a Sony
Spressa 8x/4x/32x CD-RW (model no. CRX140E/CH2). Both drives seem to work
well and are bootable using the Startup Disk control panel at least.
Haven't tried booting using option-cntl-shift-delete. The HD formatted with
Apple's drivers using Drive Setup. I haven't tested the burning capability
of the CD-RW yet, but I hear that it works fine with both iTunes and Toast.
The site http://www.xlr8yourmac.com has a good database compatibilities for
systems, drives, and cards. I have contributed my results on the HD and VST
card (may not be posted yet).
