The driver update issue affects only SuperMac C500 and C600 computers. If
SuperMac C500 and C600 owners allow the Mac OS 8 installer to update their
hard disk driver at the begining of the Mac OS 8 installation process, it is
possible that they will later lose access to the drive. The workaround,
however, is simple -- don't allow the Mac OS 8 installer to update your hard
disk driver. Instead, follow the procedure presented below.
