Last Fall I tried a 20 gig hard drive and had big time problems. I learned from a Umax tech that I should go no higher than a 10 gig. It was a Maxtor hard drive and they stood behind it. Maxtor exchanged the 20 gig for a 10 gig and I have had no problems.
If someone has installed a larger hard drive and had no problems, I would be interested in how they were able to get it to work. Mine would freeze in the start up. It would not even fire up using a start up cd with operating system. I exchanged the fried hard drive with my old 2 gig and everything went okay.
