My MachFire card is in Slot #3.
Config. is as follows under OS 9.1.
#1 Initio Miles UW SCSI
#2 Sonnet Tempo IDE
#3 MachFire
#5 UltimateRez 8mb (non-Apple)
I got the card mainly to hook up a EZQuest Firewire HD, so I can't comment on
burners or DV.
I did have to turn down the throughput a notch on the drive to prevent lockups
but that was suggested by EZQuest, not XLR8.
My impression is most video cards will be fine in the lower slots.
I would keep the Adaptec card in the upper slots.
If you have slot 2 available, try the Orange Micro card there first.
(We expect a report from you as card juggling is a spectator sport for us.)
