I don't know about your area but I just came back from a Radio Shack where I was able
to grab a 3.6-V battery off the rack with plenty of them in stock. About $11.
You may want to give one a call to see if they have the 4.5V battery.
The packaging for my battery has a comprehensive list of other battery designations
for the type.
