Hi,
I've got several S900s that I bought used, and none of the CDs work. They were supposedly new or refurbs originally made for the Umax, both 506 and 508 models. I've swapped out ribbon cables, and tried everything I know, but nothing helps. Is there any way to figure out if the problem is with the CD and not the SCSI port/board/whatever? Again, none of the CDs work so I can't move them in and out of a working model to test. Someone told me it could be the motherboard itself. How on earth can I check that? I bought these things, as did several others on this list, off a tip by another list member over a year ago and I've not been able to get them up and running properly. Any help is appreciated.
