there is a problem in the firmware of some machines/cards which limits 
them to seeing only the first 128GB. A quick google found this at XLR8:

I remember seeing something about this on one of the Linux sites, but I 
don't do IDE, so I dismissed it. You might try seeing if the 
manufacturer of your card has a firmware/driver update.
