First off the Acard/66 is the same card as the Sonnet & Promax /ATA66
card. All made by I belive Acard. So any info on one card should apply
to the others. I do remember problems with a few Maxtor drves working
with these cards but it's been a year or more . So if you drive is
new it shouldn't be affected but if you've had it a while it could be
one of those drives with issues. I went to www.xlr8yourmac.com which
is likely where i saw that info but couldn't locate it. Perhaps too
much time has past since it was posted. I have seen reports that
drives won't boot when setup as slave on the channel 2. You could
also do a search of the forums at www.macfixit.com. Best of luck.

I tried everything but couldn't get it to work.
I transfered all the files using file sharing.

BTW, the IBM is nice, but I think I should've got the
Western Digital cause it's got a nice 8 Meg buffer & no limit on time usage.

Thanks so much for everybody's help!!!
