This is actually why I originally tried switching the ROMs on the Twin Turbo. My S900 came with an ixMicro TT and then someone was selling the Apple TTs for ~$100, which was a great price at the time (about the time the S900 was discontinued). However, then I had a pair of TTs that didn't use the same drivers. So I got the ixMicro ROM copied, installed the copy in the Apple card and then they both would use the ixMicro drivers. It was only later when Will S. and I were discussing some OSX issues that I thought to get the Apple ROMs copied and send him one to try with OSX.
