Hmmm....I haven't had a chance to try a different firewire cable.
After several attempts to acquire the external firewire drive (EZQuest
60gb), no luck yet.
Strange thing is there was no problem last time I used it about a month
ago.
Drive powers up ok and makes all the ususal spinup sounds.
MachFire card was reintalled in different slots with no success.
(Even with CUDA reset.)
It's acting as if there's no communication between the drive and the
firewire card.
I'm crossing my fingers that it's the cable.
The firewire connection seems less solid then SCSI and tends to droop
down at the connection if the cable is long.
It seems if the cable is going to hang by the connection, the firewire
slots should be vertically oriented.
