Hi Bill,
     What application are you using to edit the pictures? The Picture 
Viewer files can be opened by any image editor and re-saved in an 
alternative format - the shareware Graphic Converter is very good for 
this - but if you want to see the 'choose another application to open 
this file' dialogue you can always move Picture Viewer to the trash for a 
short vacation and double click one of the files.
