During the bygone days of cloning didn't Apple put a leash on them by
limiting the processor speed ?
If I am not mistaken the 250/166 G3 Newer Tech card was bundled (in its own
box) with the S900 base (w/ 604/150) to get around this problem.
Umax became fairly aggressive near the end of its life, which is when I
bought the S900/G3 package.
