Well, boys and girls, I have successfully installed YDL 2.2 on my C600 and the geekiness quotient in this office right now is sooo volatile...
Anyway, this note is coming to you via Mozilla Mail for Linux. Initial impressions thus far is the user experience is as slow as molasses. I used the basic Home/Office install and KDE 2.2.2 is the default window manager but all the GNOME stuff, including Nautilus, is installed as well. I tried reducing some of the eye candy but little has changed. I'll try to reduce it some more. That said, the likely problem is there is no cache enabled since the L2 slot is occupied by the Sonnett card. I could pull the accelerator and put the Darkstar module back in and see what happens. But then if I want to get MacOS acceleration back I have to swap out Darkstar. Problems, problems... I'm going to try to see if there is an upgrade configurator...time for more exploring.
