This has been covered so many times I thought everyone realized this 
as fact. None of the Old World machines see IDE buses that is the 
reason for the IDE PCI cards converting them to SCSI so the data can 
be read.So it doesn't surprise me that software made for SCSI buses 
can also read it. However to muddy the waters a bit here is some 
interesting info on the IDE PCI cards.
