OK, things are getting a bit confusing but still comprehensible.  I may be
contributing to the confusion as well.

I was referring to that it simply sees the ATA card and drives, as such, in
SCSI Probe.  I wasn't even checking ASP.  Although there too it sees this as
SCSI Bus II, which I had recalled from conversations about this in the past.



Anyway, the original point I was trying to make in the thread was that the
ide drives were visible and mountable in SCSI Probe. (At least in our
machines)  I think my meaning kind of got intermixed within the finer
details that emerged in the thread.  So I too need to take pause and edit
before mailing.
