Yes, but....we already know his CDrom will boot 9.2 on his machine. (It of course won't install) So chances are if he gets an OS for his machine it will boot. Using the drivers on the CD. So he doesn't yet need CD drivers. There are only about 2 or 3 hard drives all SCSI that the current Apple drive setup won't work with The old Western Digital that came with many of these machines and?? So yes he may need a driver for the hard drive depending what is in his machine. So of course he does in the long run need drivers. However if he's lucky enough to have a drive that works with the Apple drivers he can use a free hacked CD driver when he later needs it.
