Half of your diatribe results from your apparent ignorance of mathematics... all the nonsense about the notation concerning 'hex' notation by programmers comes from them not wanting to say hexadecimal every time they need to discuss base 12 maths. "Hex" is this case does come from Latin, after all, which is still a language used by the church. I presume that Latin isn't evil, unless you want to spew some hate about the Pope being the antichrist, too. The programmers humor by punning on the English 'hex' was wasted on you, sir. As for the $666.66 price for an Apple, more simple math might show that to be the equivalent of 2/3 of $1000. Most consumer products don't make it to the market en mass until they get below that psychological price barrier. Inasmuch as VCRs, personal computers, microwave ovens, and refrigerators all exhibited the same type of market behavior, a round 2/3 was a great marketing ploy, not satanic plots. Oh, you do have a VCR, refrigerator and microwave, don't you?
Leigh Alan Dyer P.S., this is from a message to my computer users group, who find your antics very amusing. :) "Confutatis maledictis, flammis acribus addictis" In English - "The damned and the accursed are convicted to the flames of hell". That was the background music for a Microslop Outlook ad on tv, from the Confutatis Maledictis requiem by Mozart. Right after that is played, a cheerful voice asks "Where do you want to go today?" I presume that Mozart and the music he wrote for the Church are still OK with the Rev., unless we're going for the whole 'the Pope is the anti-christ' thing. Maybe the whole internet is possessed by evil incarnate, and he'll have to give up on the internet entirely. I'll miss him. NOT. -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
