Well you didn't think you were going to get high resolutions as well
did you ;-)
I think it was maybe 60 hz refresh for 800x600 with thousands of colors
and 640 x 480 with millions of colors was 67 or 72 hz refresh. A
trick to see more choices of resolutions when using control strip
hold down the control key when clicking on the resolutions panel.
With the monitor control panel it varies with OS you are using. Some
you use the control key to see more choices and others let you choice
between recommended and all choices. This machine may have done
better with a 13 or 14 in monitor and you now knwo why most people
bought a PCI video card to go with it. A 4 mb video card will get
you millions of colors in several resolutions even with a 17 in
monitor.

Sometime list sponsor has the Twin turbo video card 4mb for $19.99
8mb version $24.99 both great deals. They sold for like $200- $400
apox a few years ago. The difference between the 2 they will work
about the same with your setup but Quicktime would play better in
full screen and you could have more then one graphic's going on at a
time . with the 8mb card. The ATI rage pro is the other good but
still lower priced card these days. They are hard to find and poweron
has one for $79.99 to much money compaired to the twin turbo in my
option. There are of course more expensive options. Best of luck
