You didn't mention what kind of NIC you had so the information may be incorrect. Most ethernet cards will need some kind of driver. Use your OS8 partition and go visit the manufacturer's website. It will have a driver for download if it is needed. A word of warning, I wouldn't just copy the driver from your OS8 partition info your OS9, the one you have loaded may outdated for OS9 and incompatible. Best to check the site first.
