tried it in every slot, with various other cards, or lack of, even tried
dancing naked round an open fire.

what is really anoying me is:

1.the debugtool from apple(firecracker), can read the roms of any attached
devices, therefore it must be working!!
2. it works in a g3.
3. it appears to be a different revision from the other mac ally boards on
sale ( the 3 ports all com out on the metal support frame)

does anyone know about hacking cards?, what memory address do they sit at?
is there any info aboout grabbing the internal roms or settings ( i can see
the unit has an EEprom) and a write protect jumper

perhps if i chnage its pci code to the one matching apple then it will work,
as it appears to be the same chip set.
