Hi all

I have a Matrox MillenniumII for Mac, 4MB with 8MB Matrox addon memory,
for a total of 12MB. Its driver setup installed Matrox hardware 3D
accel extensions into my system folder's extensions folder. However
when I run UT Demo, it doesn't give the options for RAVE or OpenGL 3D
accel, only the software rendering option. This option is stable although
the framerate isn't very high. The Matrox PowerDesk control panel
doesn't mention the 3D aspect of the card at all, although the Mac
manual for the card does mention 3D accel in various screenmodes. What
software can I use to test my Quickdraw 3D acceleration? The Tombraider
demo does seem faster but it doesn't look any better so I don't know if
its really 3D now, or its just the much faster 2D (than the TT128)
ability of the Matrox card. Their website stopped supporting their
cards in Macs in 1998 :-( so they aren't much help.

Has anyone else here got a Matrox card to 3D accelerate? And if so, how
did you do it?

Thanks

Bolton

Oh, by the way: The card I got from eBay is a reflashed Intergraph
card, its BIOS is 512 instead of 256, that seem to be the only
difference between it and my PC Mill2.
