Hi-

I installed OS 10.2 on a Umax J700 that has a XLR8 G3 card, 2 internal SCSI drives,
one external SCSI drive, TEAC SCSI CD-R, Cyberdrive 24X SCSI CD-ROM, Belkin USB PCI
card, Rage Pro video. The Cyberdrive required a 3rd party driver in OS 9.1 to be
recognized.

For the most part, everything generally works ok, with a couple of exceptions. When
booting up, it can take sometimes up to 15 minutes for the boot drive to be found...
the gray apple screen is there with the "rolling wheel", and I can hear every drive
(hard and CD) being accessed over and over again. Finally the boot drive is found and
things start up ok.

Once it's up and running, about 50 pct of the time I put a CD in the Cyberdrive, after
a long wait the CD mounts. Sometimes, when it mounts, it will mount in eight separate
icons on the desktop (and show up as eight separate drives in Toast). But the rest of
the time, the CD drive light comes on endlessly, then the finder announces it's an
unreadable disk... ignore or eject.

Anyone else running into anything similar? I'm wondering if something might be
misterminated on the SCSI bus, but it all worked without a hitch in OS 9.1....
