I think you should first speak to Dan the List Mom about this issue.

Which is likely Dan's Company.
A couple of years ago a guy who was a real pain in the rear tried to
hijack this list and move it to Yahoo egroups. Dan had no trouble
getting Yahoo to shut his site down. He had included many if not all
the past posts on the New site. So I would think you may well need
Dan's ok and it may depend on what you plan on doing or using it for.
The fact that you have to sign up for this list in order to receive and
post to it may make it a private non public Domain list. I'm not sure
just something to check out. Just my 2 cents worth. Will S
