My apologies to Ford. I was under the impression that the "lower slots issue" was only a problem in the S900. I did not know that it affected the J700 too.
If I had know about that combo card a couple of months ago we would have purchased one and an inexpensive ATA drive, instead of an expensive 50 pin SCSI drive for our c600. We have been very happy with Sonnet's combo USB/Firewire card in our c600, and their ATA/100 card in our 9600. Even if we do put one in the c600, it does not answer the questions about the slot issues for the other SuperMacs. Anybody with a J700 or S900 feeling experimental lately?
