Hi Dick, Since nobody else took a stab at this...
I recently set up an LC575 for a friend's four year old. Even that ancient hardware, running OS 7.6 did a good job of running all of the children's programs I installed. It surprised me, but the stock 2X CD drive did an acceptable job of playing various CD titles (Elmo's preschool, Blue's Clues, Pajama Sam, and the like) Truthfully, the biggest problem I encountered was finding suitable icons for everything, since I was setting up a machine for a little guy who can not yet read. What are you having problems with? What are the basic specs on the machine? I assume your granddaughter is not editing video or using PhotoShop yet ;-) You might want to take a look at <www.kidsdomain.com> I found an incredible assortment to free software there. Have to do something to make sure she stays away from my TiBook. -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
