You need to follow the instructions in the "readme" about installing via Terminal. I had no luck installing (even via Terminal) with version 1.2 of Cache Control X though on my S900 running a G3/300 in OS 10.1.5. Downloading version 2.1b4 of Cache Control and it all installed without a hitch. It seems more stable and configurable than other software out there for doing the same thing, so my advice would be to get rid of the Mach Speed Control and just install Cache Control X (will still run, somewhat slower though even without a cache control extension intsalled).
Cheers, Pete. <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> P.S. I just bought an Afro Celt Sound System CD yesterday and am also listening to it while I read/write this mail list- excellent stuff. > From: "R.A. The Cache > Control X 1.2 is sticking right out on the root level of the HD. Guess > I'll try another, third party gauge. -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
