Seriously. I got really sick of the loud @$% fans running in my ear
while I was trying to sleep, and when I put it into the CPU cubbie
hole, the processor temp would shoot from 115 to 146 degrees. I just
didn't like it doing that. especially with the 2 CD burners, 2HD and
one 7200RPM HD. I also have 3 PCI slots filled (soon to be 4 when I get
my FireWire card). By having it mounted in the hole outside of the
case, I can use a single 4" fan and keep everything around 96 degrees.

Now I need to do something else though, with the new upgrade card in
it, the processor hovers around 165 degrees. I also need to figure out
how to cool down the mobo, it is 60MHz stable, but overheats after
about 6min and crashes. (55MHz is perfectly stable, but I like
punishment I suppose) I'm also trying to get the chip moved from 300 to
350MHz and move that backside up past 200MHz (3:2 ratio). I know that
the backside runs fine at 225MHz, the temptation is just too great.

As for the tea, I suppose that can earn you some points. Ever stick an
Apple Extended in a dishwasher before.....
