Hi Jess,

May we assume that you're talking about a J700 or S900? If that's the case,
many people do, without any ill effect. Attempting to interleave different
types of RAM is not a good idea. And there have been reports in the past of
problems that were apparently resolved when one or the other type was
removed, though I haven't heard of that lately, and no definitive conclusion
was ever drawn whether it was the type, the structure, or the manufacturer
that was incompatible--or just plain bad chips.
