Far as I know: All the built-in USB ports in any Mac are 1.1, sure so far. You can add a USB 2.0 card, i.e. the Sonnet Trio, but the USB ports will only be 1.1 under MacOS 9.x, because the system doesn't support 2.0. In Mac OS X, you'll have full 2.0 capabilities. The KB article refers to the built-in ports in newer Macs.
