It is more correct to note that Dell, Micron and Umax used the ATCX
Convertible case from Palo Alto Products. PAP supplied the nice
cases to all three of them. So, yes, the parts should be
interchangeable and this also means that there are PC case and part
vendors who can get you things like the fan shrouds and such (at
stiff prices) if you need them. PAP was bought by someone about a
year ago and I don't know if that's affected case or parts
availability.

The front bezel is a custom part, though reading PAP's web site it
sounds like holes for sound jacks were an optional feature, so it may
not be as custom as it seems. It doesn't really matter though,
because there's a fellow out there somewhere who got a huge lot of
Umax front bezels and that would be the place to go if you needed
one--or the door that tends to bread its hinge.

The case is called "convertible" because the J700 desktop uses the
same case. The case can be either a tower or a desktop depending on
the bezel installed, the bottom (or left side in tower) and the left
side (or bottom on tower). And the drive cage can be rotated 90
degrees.
