Hi Jess, That depends on what you want to use it for, and which bus you want to put it on. Assuming you want to replace the boot drive at the end of the internal SCSI chain, a new 50-pin SCSI II drive would be ideal. Unfortunately, due to market pressures, they haven't been made in a while. The next best is a so-called Ultra Wide drive with a quality 68 to 50 pin adapter. Among these, I can highly recommend the IBM Ultrastar 9ES series [there were once even 50 pin versions but they're difficult to find any more]. Whatever you are considering, it is very important to download the technical data sheets for a prospective drive--typically available from the manufacturer's web site in PDF--and verify the following: it can provide termination--not to be confused with supplying "Term Power" if it is designed for LVD operation, it has a jumper setting for "single-ended" (SE) operation It is possible to use another device to terminate the chain; in my experience this is not optimal. -- Paul F.
