Hi all! Well, my scanner said goodbye this morning, and I doubt it will ever come back, so I'm in need for a new one as FAST AS POSSIBLE. After looking through some Macworld magazines, I think the Epson Perfection 2400 Photo would be nice, but it's pretty expensive, and I have to buy it next week! I couldn't find any test of the smaller 1260 Photo, and I wonder if it will fit my needs, because it's half the price of the 2400. What I need is a good allrounder for home use, with the ability to scan negative/slide, and a negative scan should make a nice A4 print. Image quality, well, let's say, it's generally for home use, but I'm in graphics design, so sometimes a scanned image has to be good enough for a presentation, and sometimes will be scaled to a size much more than A4.
Ok, my questions: - Has anyone experiences with one of these scanners, or knows a better model? Price should be no more than 300 Euro, which is US$ 300 INCLUDING taxes, cheaper is better. - Will the Epson work with the USB card sitting in the lowest slot of my S900 (works fine with a Wacom tablet and a Epson printer)? - I would highly appreciate if someone who has one of these scanners could send me a negative scan!
