Bad news is it is a CD Rom not a CDRW . Good news is it is a 24x speed 
CDROM player likely the best player sold with a UMAX machine. It will 
need a driver other then the one which comes with Mac OS. It will most 
likely boot with the C key once you have a driver just like an Apple CD 
player. This did require OS 9.x with my machine with older Mac OS's it 
may well require the four key salute to boot. (option,Apple,shift and 
delete keys)

Free Apple drivers that will work are located at:

get the Apple universal driver 5.3.1 for the CD rom driver and
Apple universal driver 5.3.2 for audio disk drivers

also you need to remove or turn off in extension manager the Apple CD 
driver 5.3.3?? I think it is as it only works with Apple cd players 
without being hacked.
