Eric: I got an update to my genealogy program. Put the disk in my CD-ROM. When the opening picture (the one you click on to open up the program to get to the installer and 'read me' files) wouldn't completely load. It got about 3/4ths done and quit. I tried my Disk Warrior disk and got the same result-everything just stopped. Then I thought-Plexwriter is suppose to read CD's so I tried that and got nothing on screen. My CD reader is several years old and a model older than the original with my UMAX. When the original went Iomega sent me a reconditioned on (as they do), but it was an older model, they didn't have the one I had originaly in stock at that time.
