*****I've run Norton and TechTool endlessly as well as FirstAide - all
to no solution/fix.

*****I started out this way from the get-go, and subsequently have done,
several times, a clean install but am willing to try it again.

*****I've just purchased Intech's CD/DVD & Hard Disk SpeedTools Combo so
won't play around with FWB anymore.

*****CD is working fine now I have Intech's combo.

*****Yep, not everything runs forever I guess, no matter how many $$ you
put in upfront:)) ...... Ha! ...... these computers cost more to feed
than teenagers!!

*****Ram checks out okay.

*****THANKS jj:)) ........ from what I see its really more 'good luck'
