All was going well, for the next few hours. Then disaster struck. Boom!
Bang! Big Crash. Primary Drive no longer visible on restart. Only thing
that could see it was Norton's 'Show Missing Disks' feature. Not even DW,
FWB, HDST, etc could touch it. So I ran Norton. Boy was the drive messed
up. Just about everything in the Volume Header Block and Catalog B-tree was
corrupted. But Norton also informed me of one major point, I forgot to
Bless my System, which I usually do on a fresh install, but forgot on this
reinstall. Norton fixed it.

But when I got my disk back, all my files cleanly organized on the drive
were scrambled in their folders, but they were all there. Whew! Even
though I keep a backup of data, I sure didn't want to have to reconstruct it
all. But everything now seems as stable as it can be. Knocking-on-wood.

So don't forget to Bless Your System after that install/reinstall! While it
could be a coincidence, if anybody else is having some unusual symptoms with
5.1.6, pass it on here.
