Well, the Scrapbook itself.  Double-clicking the downloaded scrapbook file
should automatically open the Scrapbook.  Daryl originally created the file
in that format to host his instructions on the opening panel, all 50+
patterns, and a chirping pager sound which he may have created himself or
may have just really liked.  As you find a pattern you like, you can simply
drag-and-drop it into the Appearance control panel's "Desktop" sample area.
(Early versions of the Mac OS 8 and 7.x use the "Desktop Patterns" control
panel.)
